The following is a brief summary of Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, may God have mercy on him

Sheikh Abdul Basit was born in the village of (Al-Marazza), located in the city of (Armant) in the governorate of (Qena) in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and he was born in 1345 AH.

The Sheikh completed the memorization of the Qur’an at the hands of Sheikh Al-Amir, and collected the readings at the hands of Sheikh Muhammad Salim, whom the travelers were striving for, in order to collect the Qur’an’s readings, and to take his sciences and arts.

The Sheikh visited the city of Cairo, and he met with many senior readers, and an opportunity was given for him on that visit to read in the hands of senior readers, and this occasion was the medium of the contract between the Sheikh and the radio. The radio was the center of Sheikh Abdul-Basit's launch towards the vast world.

The sheikh visited many Islamic and Western countries, and his visits had a great impact on Islam and Muslims, where he conveyed the message of the Qur’an the best rhetoric, and was a reason for guiding many of those who were confused. His visits also contributed to the consolidation of relations between many peoples of the world.

Sheikh Abdul Basit won many honors and honors from a number of Islamic countries, in appreciation of his efforts in serving the Qur’an.

The Sheikh passed away after a struggle with illness to the afterlife in 1409 AH. The day of his death was a memorable day.
