Description of Dancer Strength & Conditioning

This is just one of several dance apps - part of the PRO Dance membership.


This app is for dancers who want to optimize their dance performance by conditioning their body.

Become a strong, powerful, commanding and explosive dancer with a conditioning approach. In addition to all of that, control your body's weight in order to maximize your dancing ability This program takes a wholistic approach to dancing fitness. Additionally, this app includes uses intense flexibility exercises to ensure proper recovery and to maintain competitive range of motion.

Strength - Develop the specific muscles used for dancers (arms, shoulders, back, core, legs). This program does not put on bulk, but tones the muscles to an optimal level for elite performance.

Joint Health - Dancing stretches joints to tremendous lengths. Exercises used will promote joint integrity by balancing muscle tension.

Explosive Movement - Plyometric explosive movements are used to develop higher jumps, leaps, and bounds.

Endurance Training - For both muscular endurance and cardiovascular. Improve your stamina and continue to keep good form and control.

Flexibility - Be able to do a full split. Having such range of motion will allow your moves to be more full and spectacular.

Core Stability - Stabilize the spine, pelvis and trunk, preventing back injuries and allowing for powerful rotational movements. Includes body weight ab exercises and pilates to generate functional core strength and spinal health. Strong abdominal, lower back and pelvic floor muscles are also introduced for stronger rotational moves. The pilates will allow hip and pelvic integrity, balancing the negative effects of turnout.
